Natural Factors Complete Megazymes - Vegetarian Formula - Digestive enzymes can do more than aid digestion. Because they are so efficient at breaking down protein, carbohydrates, and fats, they are able to stimulate the good bacteria in the gut, detoxify and cleanse the colon, and therefore improve a number of digestion-related conditions, including food and other allergies. They help to mobilize and expel harmful products from the body. This process occurs at the cellular level, in organs, and in various systems of the body. Natural Factors Complete Megazymes provides a broad spectrum of key digestive enzymes needed for complete digestion. These include amylase to help break down carbohydrates such as starch; lipase to help break down dietary fats; and proteases to help break down proteins in food. Proteolytic enzymes from bromelain and papain also help break down proteins, while supporting a healthy inflammatory response.

Enzyme blend 38 mg
Fungal protease (Aspergillus niger)(whole) 13.33 mg (60 FCC SAP)
Bromelain (Ananas comosus)(pineapple stem) 9.09 mg (300,000 FCC PU)
Alpha-amylase (Aspergillus flavusvar.oryzae)(whole) 6 mg (900 FCC DU)
Triacylglycerol lipase (Rhizopus oryzae)(whole) 6 mg (210 FCC LU)
Papain (Carica papaya)(fruit) 3.57 mg (150,000 FCC PU)
FCC: Food Chemical Codex; SAP: Spectrophotometric Acid Protease Unit; PU: Papain Unit; DU: Dextrinizing Unit; LU: Lipase Unit.

Non-medicinal Ingredients:
Dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant), stearic acid.

Dosage: 
1–2 tablets, 1–3 times daily with food or as directed by a health care practitioner.

Cautions:
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes or gastrointestinal lesions/ulcers, are taking an anticoagulant/blood thinner, an anti-inflammatory, or antibiotics, are having surgery, or have an allergy to latex or fruits (such as avocado, banana, chestnut, passion fruit, fig, melon, mango, kiwi, pineapple, peach, and tomato). Hypersensitivity/allergy, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner. Keep out of the reach of children.
